This Privacy Policy explains how SAT RANKED (also known as "SAT Ranked 1v1") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and services. It is designed to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

1. Who we are

SAT RANKED is an independent SAT learning and practice platform. We are the data controller for the personal information you provide. You can reach us anytime at satranked1v1@gmail.com.

Account data: email, username, display name, hashed password.
Usage data: matches played, answers, scores, rankings, RR points, time spent.
Cookies & similar technologies: session cookies, analytics cookies, and advertising cookies (see Section 5).
Device & technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, approximate location (derived from IP).
Analytics data: page views, clicks, referral source, and other behavioral data collected by Google Analytics.
Support messages: anything you send us via email or our contact form.

3. How we use your information

To operate the platform, run matches, and track rankings.
To improve our content, features, and user experience.
To prevent cheating, fraud, abuse, and security threats.
To display advertising (free users only — Pro subscribers don't see ads).
To respond to support, legal, and privacy requests.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

We process personal data based on: contract performance (to provide the service), legitimate interests (analytics, security, improvement), consent (advertising cookies and personalized ads), and legal obligations where applicable.

5. Cookies, Google AdSense & Google Analytics

We use cookies for essential functionality, analytics, and advertising. A cookie banner asks for your consent on your first visit.

Google AdSense. We use Google AdSense to display ads to free users. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites. If you consent, ads may be personalized. If you reject, we instruct Google to serve non-personalized ads only (the npa=1 flag).

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the platform — pages visited, features used, traffic sources, and aggregate behavior. This helps us improve the product. IP addresses are processed by Google as described in their privacy documentation.

Supabase — secure database, authentication, and hosting

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with industry-standard protections, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to keep your information safe.

8. We do NOT sell your personal data

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not rent or trade personal data. Under the CCPA, California residents have the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal data — since we do not sell, no opt-out is required, but you can still contact us with any concerns.

Depending on where you live, you have the right to:

Correct inaccurate information.
Delete your account and associated personal data.

SAT RANKED is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
